Don M. Sowers
Don has been a personal injury attorney in Chicago for over 25 years and has been responsible for earning settlements and jury verdicts for injured individuals and their families (for Wrongful Death of a family member) primarily in the fields of Medical Malpractice and Nursing Home neglect and abuse. He has obtained verdicts and settlements throughout the State of Illinois including Champaign, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Knox, Lake, Madison, McHenry, Peoria, Sangamon, Vermillion, Will and Winnebago Counties.
Mr. Sowers grew up in Chicago’s western suburbs and graduated from Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He began his legal career defending represented physicians and hospitals, such as Northwestern University Medical Center, University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics and The University of Illinois Hospitals and Clinics, in Medical Negligence cases. He also defended a major Pharmaceutical Manufacturer in lawsuits involving the drug Diethylstilbesterol (DES). After six (6) years as an Associate, Don was elected partner and was his firm’s Co-Chairman of the Medical Malpractice Department.
For the past 25 years, Don has utilized his expertise and compassion representing injured and their families in Medical Malpractice and Nursing Home Neglect lawsuits against Healthcare Providers, including Physicians, Nurses and Medical Centers. He is a member of Parente & Norem’s Medical Malpractice Team.
