Charles Bletsas is the head of the Medical Malpractice Department at The Law Offices of Parente & Norem, P.C. As Mr. Bletsas is the son of a dentist and the grandson of a doctor, it was a natural fit for him to specialize in medical negligence. Mr. Bletsas now has over 30 years experience litigating medical malpractice cases. He is prepared to devote that experience and knowledge to your case in pursuit of the answers and compensation you deserve.
Mr. Bletsas has won verdicts for his clients in cases involving a broad spectrum of medical care. Notably, in 2024, Mr. Bletsas led a trial team to a $14 million jury verdict in Cook County. He and his team represented the estate of a child who died at age four from his pre-birth neurologic injuries. Negligent emergency medicine care at the University of Chicago Medical Center led to a delay in delivery which caused the unborn baby to suffer devastating brain injuries.
Prior to joining Parente & Norem in 2024, Mr. Bletsas was a partner at a Chicago firm focusing on medical malpractice defense. There Mr. Bletsas developed an extensive, in-depth understanding of the medical institutions which provide patient care. And, he knows the tactics used by the medical providers to defend their care when questioned. Mr. Bletsas applies his unique knowledge to every medical negligence case at Parente & Norem.
Mr. Bletsas received his J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University in Detroit, where he served as a Senior Articles Editor of the Wayne Law Review. He received his B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan.
