Before joining Parente & Norem, Cole spent four years representing businesses, insurance carriers, and insured individuals in complex personal injury litigation throughout Illinois and across the United States. This experience gives him a unique understanding of how insurance companies evaluate claims, investigate accidents, and develop defense strategies. Today, he uses that insight to advocate for injured clients and help them pursue the compensation they deserve.
Throughout his legal career, Cole has handled every stage of litigation, including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. He has also served as lead counsel in jury trials and second chair in numerous trials in Cook County, building valuable courtroom experience that benefits his clients at every stage of their cases.
Cole is committed to providing strategic, determined representation while ensuring every client receives personalized attention and clear communication throughout the legal process. He understands that navigating a personal injury claim can be overwhelming, and he strives to make each client feel informed, supported, and confident from the initial consultation through resolution.
Before entering private practice, Cole served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Keith R. Truffer in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. The experience provided him with valuable insight into courtroom procedure and judicial decision making, helping shape his approach he brings to every case.
Cole earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland. He also graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, where he earned a Bachelor of Science with dual majors in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance.
